In our opinion, the closer they look to SNES EB style, the better it is

Ness13, I didn't mean to offend ya, I just didn't feel like putting it in SNES format.

No problem, it was just a suggestion, AKA you don't have to take it if you don't wanna :V

I have yet to use any custom sprites. Is it do-able to make this my first character? http://img189.imageshack.us/i/garyoak.png/#

Wait... do we still have to donate for custom sprites, or can we just make the sprites?

Yup, custom sprites are a donation perk at the moment.

Re: Create your own custom sprite!
So, my parents are planing to donate money to your fine project so that I may have a custom sprite for my birthday (Well, I guess I'll get to USE said sprite when the next update comes out, but you know). This is pretty awesome, but there is one problem. That problem is that I am terrible at making sprites. I have had no experience what so ever and terrible hand-eye coordination when it comes to drawing with a mouse. Does this mean I can't get a sprite?
Or rather, I can't get a sprite that doesn't look horrible? I don't mean to be lazy, not at all, but there just seems to be this gap in my mind between my art, and what I consider to be "quality".

You can ask someone nicely to make it for you. Or just go with a recolor of any Earthbound sprite and whenever you get a real custom one let me know and we'll add that one then.

^ Oh! Well, I'm not sure how to do that either, but it sounds a lot easier. My idea was Ness's regular head and body, but without his hat like in Magicant, And Paula's/Some other female character's face, with the hair being blond and the shirt being pattern like Lucas's, only without a backpack. I could probably pull that off in Photoshop, but I don't think that would really work for putting it in the game? Does it need to be MSPaint?

It needs to be in the correct format. A png file looking like this: http://www.skyon.be/playersheet
