Update 3: The "account in use" error should now be fixed. Let us know if you're getting "invalid account name " error!

We released revision 5 a few hours ago. Due to an Updater update you have to download the new version (click the Download button on the left) and install that version of SVO. The updater of earlier installed versions WILL NOT WORK.

 

As always, check out the changelog if you would like to see the new, the changed and the fixed. We'll be working on more content, a better GUI and more bugfixes during the X-mas break, don't forget most of us are university students so we've got exams in January. This means don't expect a huge update in January but still enough to be another step forward!

 

There are still a ton of bugs (some warps aren't well placed, you can still run on top of some trees and buildings, you can't talk to NPCs yet, Twoson is incomplete, there are no enemies yet, SVO world has only one area, ...). We're tackling this beast one step at a time!

p.s. If it looks like you cannot log in, make sure the server status icon (on the left) isn't red. The server is available if it is green. If it's not running, give Darkfrost or Skye a few minutes (or hours if they're sleeping) to reboot the server if it has crashed.

I reinstalled the game client, but it says im missing a .NET Framework or something, how do i get the required files/data?

A friend of mine introduced me to this game the other day. I think it's friggin' sweet, but I saw that your revision 5 isn't really all that playable right now. Is there any time frame to look forward to when I will be able to play this full game?

We're adding stuff incrementally, each revision will have something new but it will be a while before it'll be a full playable MMORPG.

Define 'worst server'. You mean latency/lag/ping? Or just the fact there isn't much to do at the moment even though it is stated in big red letters on the download page this is a tech demo and not a game yet?
