Coming next update

The SVO world is pretty empty at the moment, next update will bring a change to that. (Re)introducing Orange Falls, the biggest area SVO ever had (the old version), is making its reappearance! Orange waterfalls in a huge area and maybe some enemies, yet another step forward in the development of the game.

 

If you haven't checked out what will change in the upcoming revision, take a look at the changelog. We know the 'playerbase' isn't big at the moment, most of the time you'll be alone on the server (unless you play during the evenings) but hopefully in the near future we'll be able to add some interesting things to the game so people stick online longer.

 

 

If you're new to SVO, note that the 'game' is still in development. The version you can play is a tech demo (alpha version) which we're using to test the server and to see if there are any problems with people being able to run the game and connect to the server.The most notable feature, the Earthbound Battle System, will be developed after the university exams in early February, until then we'll continue to add regular content.

 

Note that some stuff looks broken for you guys because the server is running a newer version than your game. This will be fixed once we release the update.

EEEKK..The battle system is begining developtment earlier then I thought O_O

Development on it should've been started a long time ago but because of certain circumstances (like the engine not being mature enough and DF not having free time) it has been delayed time after time.

But actual development should start in February, depending on how much time DF has and if Aphro can help as well it shouldn't take TOO long before we can test a prototype.
