That's really weird. Have you tried logging back out and back in? Try deleting your character and remaking it? Not sure what happened here.

This isn't really a bug. It's just an issue because the server is sending the message ID to the client but the client still has the old numbering. So that's why it shows the wrong message which is in this case "User does not exist" instead of "shouts:"
It'll work again properly when rev6 is released.

Re: Official Error topic [Read first before submitting error
Ok so I had the graphics problem where there would be only a blank black screen and nothing would show up. I looked around the forums and found out i probably needed .net 4.0 installed for it to work. I never got any error stating it was needed, but it wasn't installed on my computer either. I install that, and still nothing works, so I wait for rev 5 to come out and see if that would fix it, still nothing works. I tried setting it as administrator too, since i have windows 7 ultimate as my OS, but that didn't work. So I search the forums some more and take Skye's advice to some other people to check out the Netgore forums, and I happened to find this post from one of Skye's topics on there.

Now I know i don't have a 965 series chip, but it is still an intel card. So I go into my graphics card control panel and change the settings to what was listed there. I found over half of the settings were different to begin with. When I finished my changes, the game worked flawlessly, no lag, no black screen, no errors of any kind. I figured i'd post this here in the error topic so those with embedded intel graphics cards like mine can have a quick solution to get the missing graphics working properly. Hope this helps a lot of people, since I was stumped at first at how to fix it.

I feel dumb for not doing this earlier, but changing the desktop resolution to 32 Bit fixed the speed issues and display issues.
Users on the Intel 965 series of chips should make sure their OpenGL settings are set to the following:
Anisotropic Filtering: Application Control
Texture Color Depth: 32 Bits per Texel
Driver Memory Footprint: Normal
Force FXT1/S3TC Texture Compression: Off
Depth Buffer Bit Depth: 24 Bit Depth Buffer
Flipping Policy: Flip
Triple Buffering: Off
Asynchronous Flip: On

Re: Official Error topic [Read first before submitting error
I just got the game and when the Updater starts to run it says this.
Running: True
State: Initializing
State: ReadingLiveVersion
State: ReadingLiveVersionDone
Live version found: 6
State: ReadingLiveVersionFileList
State: ReadingLiveVersionFileListDone
MasterServerReader error: Could not get a valid VersionFileList file from the master servers for version `6` - download failed.
Errors: True
I've uninstalled and reinstalled it a few times but it still doesn't work...help please :3

Make sure the updater can connect to the internet (aka no firewalls blocking its access).

Re: Official Error topic [Read first before submitting error
That's the only reason why it wouldn't be able to grab the file, nothing else you can do.

I did all the stuff to openGL but the black box is still there. it might be because i have intel 945 not 965, any ideas?

Not really, you could ask Jas on the netgore.com forum, it seems he knows a thing or two about these GPUs.

Hi, when I try to play I starts up correctly then I hear the music which is kinda glitchy. When I try to play I press "New Account". Nothing happens, when I close it this pops up.

Here is my graphics card name:Intel(R)82945G Express Chipset Family.
EDIT: I tried this already, but I can't seem to make it work. I'm gonna try and reinstall it to see if that changes anything.
