Ultimate is a pretty good rebalance (from what I've heard, won't buy until I can get it used) for everything except Wesker.

Trufax. One of the most popular OP characters gets left alone. At least Sentinel kept his nerfs from vanilla.

Nemesis, Raccoon & Nova are all pretty cheap as well.

In fighting games I love characters that have supers where I can yell d'oh! out with them.
When SFxT comes out i'm gonna be using Paul so I can yell "GIVE US POWEEERRRR". I

Pretty sure SFxT is already out.

Spoiler for :
Pretty much every "DLC" character is already on the disc.

What happened to TxSF? Wasn't that actually supposed to be a thing that happened?

Pardon, I meant to say when it comes in the mail.
Save 5$ wait 3 extra weeks...
No regrets.

Yeah the DLC thing pisses me off.
TxSF is in development, it was always said to be coming out after SFxT.
We should hear about it in some months.

I've given up on buying Capcom games new since MML3.

The only recent fighting games I plan on buying are:

Skullgirls
UMvC3 (arcade stick too)
Persona 4: Mayonaka Arena

I need to get around to trading in my copy of vanilla MvC3 because my XBL Gold ran out, and I don't plan on renewing it. It's a shame too, I was fond of that fightpad. It'll be good for emulators though, so it isn't a total loss.

Am I the only one that wishes Viewtiful Joe was a more viable character? Yes, he's hard to hit, with a launch super that's simple to combo into, but his OTG is kind of worthless without a huge ability to plan ahead, which is kind of a waste in a fighting game that can have a situation change so quickly.

Reverege Labs has said that Skullgirls will come to the PC if the console versions are successful enough, i don't know how likely that is. Fighting games are a capcom's world.

Wait, what do you even use for your fighting games BlueBlast? Just the stock controller?

My preferred method of playing fighting games is to use an american style arcade stick. With a bat top and non slanted buttons. But since there are no arcade sticks cheap enough for me I just use the standard PS3 controller. I do own a mad catz SE but that thing feels like d'oh!.

Yeah, fighting games are at their best of arcade sticks. If I had disposable income I'd buy a pair of them, then donate my 360 and MvC3 to a local arcade-esque place around here. I'm sure they could figure something out with how to enable play only after payment.

I just realized, I never got your PSN ID. Mine's Lyrun. I might challenge you to a game of 3SO sometime. From how you sound when I ask about it, I don't expect to do well.

Alright. Thag's two new fighting game buddies that can critique me.

Sean is the equivalent of Dan in this, right? Does this mean that he's not that good, but still has a possibility of being good? Or simply that he's garbage and should never be picked for any reason ever.

I sent you an invite, I put a message on the friend request so you'd understand it's me.
so as far as sean goes, I think he's actually quite WORSE than dan. He has no projectile (aside from his weak as SA1). His shoryuken has no froward range, it goes straight up. And his tatsu is punishable on Hit. He does have a few other moves but they aren't all that great, his low grab tackle is punishable on black and easy to see coming. His overhead axe kick is an easy parry (Which is part of the reason I dislike the parry system). And his dodge roll is very easy to hit. His normals are GARBAGE.

And no he is not a joke character, capcom just freck up HARD

I've noticed that a lot of Dan players use his Air L. Tatsu quite a bit. I haven't noticed much good about it. Damage is nothing special, and it doesn't look highly prioritized. The fact that damage frames can end before you hit the ground definitely looks like a major drawback too. So why is it so popular?

EDIT: On the ArcSys side of fighters, new combo video for the Persona 4 Fighter (official name is Persona 4: The Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena)

Skullgirls is amazing, I'm actually quite glad SFxT hasn't came in the mail...
I'm rocking a Filia/Ms.Fortune team. I originally wanted an Umbrella/Squigly team but they both got cut out for DLC to make room for Valentine & Double...
