[CONTENT]The Teahouse Shanghai

Postby c0mp1337 » Wed Mar 21, 2012 5:52 pm

hello all, i was thinking about this a while ago so why not share it:

the teahouse shanghai is an oriental establishment for food, consumables that are sold there can heal various status ailments. some can even heal pp and hp. (that is if they are implemented yet, havent seen in the wiki) it is also a nod to a popular bullet hell game, which i based the establishment´s name on.

some of the foods that can be sold there:

Sencha Tea: warm and delicious, it cures cold and recovers 2PP
Delicious Dango: now in colors red, white and black!!! cures poisoning
Sakuramochi: soft and pink, cures numbness/paralysis and recovers 10 HP
9 iced tea: THE STONGEST TEA EVER!!! clinically proven to help reduce temperature. cures sunstrokes but causes colds if used frequently.
The Neko Miko Special: a three course meal that heals every status ailment (except unconsciousness) and fully restores hp and PP

I love the idea, I especially love that game with a freaking passion. I think something related to that game would be A-Okay especially since someone did mix both games together to practically make a Mother 4/Earthbound 3.
Spoiler for :
Gotta love that shrine maiden.

what isn't A-Okay, when mixing that into anything...

Wah, that was my 3AM hyperactivity speaking.
Anyways, you're right on both things. Though out of all crossover fangames, that one happens to be my favorite because that one introduced me to the whole entire world of that and because it has any Earthbound in it at all.
We all have our opinions, right?

We all do, and I respect your opinion, lets work hard so it doesn't turn into a my opinion>your opinion thread.

I wonder what else can I add to the teahouse

Isn't the Shrine famous for its mushrooms or something?

What if you could sell your mushroomization there?

actually no, but you gave me an idea.

updated menu and stuff:

Sencha Tea: warm and delicious, it cures cold :O
Delicious Dango: now in colors red, white and black!!! cures poisoning
Sakuramochi: soft and pink, cures numbness/paralysis and recovers 10 HP
9 iced tea: THE STONGEST TEA EVER!!! clinically proven to help reduce temperature. cures sunstrokes but causes colds and it has a chance of freezing you solid.
The Humongous Fungus: so big and thick you might not even finish it in one go, heals 10 hp and 10 pp
Super Shroom: your body isnt the only thing getting bigger... heals 20 pp
The Neko Miko Special: a three course meal that heals every status ailment (except unconsciousness) and fully restores hp and PP

I like that idea for the Humongous Fungus. It'd be a nice trade-off between big healing items necessary for battle and those little things you need every now again. There will be balancing issues with how many times you could eat it before you finish it though.

Is it only going to be a food store or a big place like the mall-like place in Fourside?
And there could be a food representig each (Pick carefully, there are too many) character.

The Neko Miko special should definitely be a "consume upon purchase" item. Holding what equated to a Secret Herb + Brain Food Lunch is way too powerful.

Less, because of the inherent inability to be transported. This does, however bring the question of "Hospital + Hotel or Neko Miko?" in terms of economic efficiency.
